Small Tornado Touches Down In Somers, Connecticut

The National Weather Service confirmed a weak tornado touched down in Somers, Connecticut, on Sunday.

The EF-0 tornado around 6 p.m. It downed several trees and ripped shingles off roofs.

Wind gusts reached 80 miles per hour. The tornado touched down for about two miles and cut a path of destruction about 75 yards wide.

There are no road closures at this time.
