Trumbull Diversity Group Cancels Meeting After Members Quit Over Flag Remark

A diversity task force in Trumbull, Connecticut, canceled its monthly meeting after half of the board quit over the last two months.

The town’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Task Force members resigned due to comments made by the group’s chairman, Tara Figueroa.

In July, Figueroa called the Blue Lives Matter flag a symbol of racial bigotry and compared it to the Confederate flag.

The last time the eight-member group met was in January and have not met in the last two months.
