Federal prosecutors have indicted 15 Long Islanders who are connected to an alleged drug distribution ring in Suffolk County.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration began a joint investigation with Suffolk County law enforcement in the fall of 2019. Officers went undercover to find that several alleged gang members were selling narcotics in the Town of Brookhaven.

Some are believed to be members of the Bloods and Latin Kings.

The DEA and Suffolk police raided eight homes in September and seized large amounts of crack cocaine, methamphetamines, painkillers, heroin and fentanyl, a synthetic and deadly opiate. They also recovered several guns.

If convicted, they face between 8 and 25 years in prison.
