Connecticut Colleges Continue To Deal With COVID

Colleges and universities in the region continue to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

UConn has started to test its wastewater to try to detect outbreaks before symptoms appear.

At Sacred Heart University, 109 students have been suspended, and two others have been dismissed for the semester for violating the school’s COVID-19 protocols. The school has also erected “scent tents” across campus so students can check their sense of smell.

On Friday, Fairfield University reported 10 new cases among students and staff.

The University of Bridgeport, Quinnipiac University, and the University of New Haven all reported new cases last week.
