U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut said Amy Coney Barrett failed to tell his Senate Judiciary Committee that in 2006, she signed a letter supporting a pro-life group that said “pray to end abortion.”

Blumenthal says the letter shows Barrett would reverse Roe V. Wade precedent, as would any nominee chosen by President Donald Trump.

“The idea that we should be rushing to confirm a nominee in the midst of a pandemic is absolutely absurd and irresponsible.”

Blumenthal says the next president should choose a Supreme Court replacement.
