Nassau County will ban most e-cigarette and liquid nicotine products starting in January.
Only flavorless and tobacco, mint or menthol-flavored products will be able to be sold under the new law.
Supporters of the ban believe flavored nicotine products make it easier for kids to get addicted to vaping. Opponents say these products help adults stop smoking.
New York State banned flavored vape products in September, but the regulations are on hold after an appeal from an e-cigarette industry group. Suffolk County withdrew a similar bill last week.
