The town of Brookfield, Connecticut, will receive $1.2 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to reimburse the cost of debris cleanup after severe storms and tornadoes in May 2018.

The total cost of the debris removal was $1.6 million. The rest of the funds will come from non-federal sources.

The funding is a result of a partnership between FEMA and the State of Connecticut Emergency Management Agency.
