The latest survey of the Long Island Rail Road showed a slight rise in customer satisfaction.
The survey, which was conducted in June by the Long Island Rail Road, showed that 84 percent of riders are satisfied with service. That’s up two percent from 2015.
Bill Henderson, from the LIRR Commuter Council, said that better communication, especially during delays, is one thing the LIRR could do to improve customer satisfaction.
“Improve that first and foremost, that’s something they can do immediately. Now, you know there are other things, other equipment-related things that are a little bit harder to do,” Henderson said.
15,000 commuters participated in the survey.
According to statistics from the LIRR, almost 93 percent of trains were on time in 2016.
