Connecticut U.S. Representative Jim Himes sits on the House Intelligence Committee. He says he’s gratified that FBI Director James Comey has now publicly confirmed that the FBI is investigating alleged ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
“We don’t begin to have the investigative resources that the FBI does. So it was very gratifying to learn that we are not doing this alone, that the FBI is actually doing the same thing.”
Himes, a Democrat, says he’s urging the Republican Chair of the House Intelligence Committee to invite top Trump campaign associates, including Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn and Carter Page to appear before the committee.
