WSHU will broadcast live, anchored special coverage and analysis of the four presidential and vice-presidential debates.
All Things Considered host Robert Siegel will anchor all the debate specials. Special Coverage will air 9:00-11:00 pm ET for the four debates. Each debate will run 90 minutes without a break. After the debate, NPR's Robert Siegel and NPR reporters will provide analysis and fact-checking.

Monday, September 26: Presidential Debate at Hofstra University in New York
This debate will be divided into six time segments of 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by NBC’s Lester Holt, the moderator. Holt will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.
Tuesday, October 4: Vice Presidential Debate at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia
Moderator: CBS’ Elaine Quijano. The debate will be divided into nine time segments of 10 minutes each. The moderator will ask an opening question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.
Sunday, October 9: Presidential Debate at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri
Moderators: ABC’s Martha Raddatz and CNN’s Anderson Cooper. The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which half of the questions will be posed directly by citizen participants and the other half will be based on topics of broad public interest as reflected in social media and other sources. The candidates will have two minutes to respond to each question and there will be an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate further discussion. The town meeting participants will be uncommitted voters selected by the Gallup Organization.
Wednesday, October 19: Presidential Debate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
This debate will follow the same format as the first presidential debate. It will be divided into six time segments of 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by Fox’s Chris Wallace, the moderator. Wallace will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.
