Eighth grade math teacher Elizabeth Capasso was at the White House on Friday. She was honored for her outstanding teaching at Jettie S. Tisdale School in Bridgeport.
Capasso is one of 213 math and science teachers around the country to receive the Presidential Award for Excellence this year.
She spoke with WSHU’s Bill Buchner about the honor and her experiences as a teacher at the Tisdale School.
