Stamford Kids Learn About Nature By Wading Into Water

For low-income students in Stamford who've fallen behind in school, there's a summer school program that aims to help them catch up by putting them directly in the water.

About 30 kids, all incoming fifth-graders, are spending their summer wading into Long Island Sound to catch fish, crabs and other sea life.

Davis Dunavin loves telling stories, whether on the radio or around the campfire. He started in Missouri and ended up in Connecticut, which, he'd like to point out, is the same geographic trajectory taken by Mark Twain.
