As Stamford considers 5th graders to middle school, New Canaan shows model

Yesterday we aired a story about how Stamford school administrators are currently considering the option of moving its fifth graders to the middle schools because of an oncoming space crunch. The idea has been criticized by many parents who say their children aren’t ready. But the option isn’t that radical. One nearby school district successfully made the transition nearly 20 years ago.
