Yale professor wins 2013 Nobel for Medicine

Yale Professor James E. Rothman, is one of three winners of the 2013 Nobel Prize for medicine announced on Monday. The award is for research on how key substances are transported within cells. He shares the prize with Randy Shekman of the University of California, Berkeley and Thomas Sudhof of Stanford University. Rothman credits funding from the National Institutes of Health for his research.
