Music Interview: Congratulations, Alison Shively: GCTYO's Competition Winner!

Violinist Alison Shively was the winner of this year's Greater Connecticut Youth Orchestras' concerto competion. Alison performed a movement of the Brahms Violin Concerto. She would have been the featured soloist at the GCTYO's Spring Concert on May 17th, but the concert has been cancelled due to COVID-19. Kate Remington talks with Alison and GCTYO Director Chris Hisey about getting rready for the competition, Alison's music career so far and her future plans.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
