Being able to experience performances by up and coming young musicians playing music that's being written right now is thrilling! Kate Remington talked with Peter Askim, founder of the Next Festival of Emerging Artists, about this year's festival, happening Saturday, June 1st at Music Mountain in Falls Village, Conn., and Sunday, June 2nd at National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NY.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
