Music Interview: Yale Baroque Opera Project Revives A Venetian Favorite

This year's production by theYale Baroque Opera Project is L'Egisto by Cavalli, which tells the story of two pairs of lovers who are playthings of the gods.  Kate Remington talked with YBOP Music Director Grant Herreid, about why L'Egisto was such a hugely popular opera in 17th century Venice. Performances are Saturday, April 28th and Sunday, April 29th at the University Theater in New Haven.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
