Music Interview: College Friends Reunite For The Norwalk Symphony

For the opening concert of theNorwalk Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, October 29, conductor Jonathan Yates reunites with his Harvard buddy, cellist Matt Haimovitz, who will be the soloist in the Cello Concerto No. 1 by Shostakovich. The program also includes Brahms' Symphony No. 4. Kate Remington talked with Jonathan about what ties these two heartbreaking works together.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
