The food, music, colors, and dance of Puerto Rico were on full display in Bridgeport's Puerto Rican Day parade Sunday.

There's no shortage of Puerto Rican culture in Bridgeport. It's one of the top ten largest Puerto Rican communities in the United States, along with Hartford. All told, 7 percent of Connecticut's population is Puerto Rican. There's no other state where Puerto Ricans make up such a large part of the population.

And that number is growing. The number of Puerto Ricans in Bridgeport, for example, grew by almost 3,000 between 2007 and 2011.

Davis Dunavin loves telling stories, whether on the radio or around the campfire. He started in Missouri and ended up in Connecticut, which, he'd like to point out, is the same geographic trajectory taken by Mark Twain.
