Women's History: Grace Hopper - Computer Pioneer @ Danbury Library
Join us as we review the career highlights and accomplishments of Grace Hopper (1906-1992), a 1950’s era computer pioneer for the United States Navy. Known as the “Queen of Software”, she is also credited for coining the term “debugging” for recognizing the dead moths that interfered with vacuum tube transistors in the giant Mark I computer.
We will view video clips of the charming and brilliant Grace Hopper with her wonderful sense of humor as she shares stories and anecdotes of her role in our early computing history.
