Attention Art Students! Wondering how to build a strong art portfolio for your college applications?

This workshop will focus on developing the student’s existing work into a professional portfolio presentation for application to college and university admissions. It is also for professional development when applying for internships and securing freelance work. Your instructor, Christopher Lauto, is an Illustrator, Animator and Designer. He has been a Visual Arts Teacher and Instructional Specialist in the Smithtown School District since September 2019. Lauto also teaches at St. John’s University. Previously, he taught at St. Anthony’s High School.

This workshop will include:
• Group Critique Requirements for building work for your portfolio
• Professional presentation of your body of work
• Development of how to present
• Acceptable plans for applying to art school
• How to prepare for an internship/new school program
