Seven Jewish greats from the world of sports will be inducted and eight others will receive individual awards at the Jewish Sports Heritage Association Induction Ceremony on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Temple Israel, Lawrence, 140 Central Avenue, Lawrence, N.Y., starting at 10:30 a.m. Among the inductees: David Kufeld, Yeshiva University basketball great; Yael Averbuch, member of the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team; and Ross Greenburg, former President of HBO Sports.
