Local children's author and illustrator MaryJo Scott will do a reading of her new picture book, Sam & Lucy, at Fairfield Public Library on Saturday, March 16. Sam & Lucy tells the story of a little boy and his best friend, an aging chicken who he knows is growing old. The reading will be followed by a chance for questions, an activity for children, and a book signing. Books will be available for purchase.

MaryJo Scott is a Fairfield resident and mother of three who has also illustrated the Corduroy concept books for children. All are welcome at this event, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Please register online.
