Mitchell College invites the community to the 2nd Annual Letting OUR Voices Be Heard event, a celebration of Black heritage and culture, Sunday, February 23, 1–5 p.m. in the Clarke Center at Mitchell College, 437 Pequot Ave., New London. Admission is free.

The Black History Month event will feature dozens of Black performers and Black-owned businesses, including food trucks. Dancers, vocalists, instrumentalists, speakers, poets, visual artists, a DJ, and others will enrich the event. There will be giveaways as well.

Conceived and directed by Mitchell College sophomore Inonda Peterson, the event creates a space to celebrate Black culture, history, and achievements. This year’s theme, ’90s Throwback Edition, encourages attendees to dress in ’90s attire. Connecticut College is partnering on the event.
