From WSHU's daytime and evening classical programs, Emily Boyer and Lauren Rico give you a heads-up on some of the best music they'll be sharing with you.

A sigh of relief, a string quartet of joy

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
Composer Erich Wolfgang Korngold

A Jewish immigrant to southern California from Vienna began sketching a string quartet in 1937 and finished it in 1945. The dates are important because it expresses his trepidation then immense relief following Hitler’s defeat. Hear his resolute contribution to American music this morning on 91.1, 107.5, and our music stream.

We’re thrilled to introduce Emily Boyer as WSHU's morning classical host.
