Amy Beach made history with her Gaelic Symphony — the first symphony by an American woman ever published. She wove Irish folk melodies into a grand Romantic canvas, creating music that feels both familiar and strikingly original. Hear Beach’s Gaelic Symphony tonight on 91.1, 107.5, and the WSHU music stream.

Julie Freddino is WSHU's Program Director. She also produces Sunday Baroque.
