Composer Henryk Gorecki was little known outside Poland until a 1992 recording of his Symphony No. 3 - Symphony of Sorrowful Songs shot up the classical AND pop charts. We'll hear that recording tonight just after 8 p.m. on 91.1, 107.5 and on our music stream.

Julie Freddino is WSHU's program director. She also hosts Sunday Spotlight and produces Sunday Baroque.
