July 2019 – In an inspiring talk, David Brooks – The New York Times columnist and NPR and PBS contributor – discussed his new book, "The Second Mountain: The Quest for a Moral Life." The evening was a deeply personal and thought-provoking exploration of what it means to lead a meaningful life.
June 2019 – Bren Smith, a restorative ocean farmer, is on the vanguard of a major change in how we eat. A former fisherman, Bren now farms seaweed, oysters, mussels, clams, and scallops. He started GreenWave, Long Island Sound’s first vertical ocean farm, to help others begin their own ocean farms and to advocate for a new approach to the American diet. Bren has been featured on 60 Minutes and in The New Yorker.
