Connecticut Colleges Instituting Quarantines, Virtual Classes To Contain Outbreaks

Colleges and universities in Connecticut are trying to contain COVID-19 outbreaks both on and off campus. 

Five UConn dorms in Storrs are now under quarantine after 35 individuals tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday.

Quinnipiac University in Hamden has moved all classes online until November 18, and a campus-wide quarantine has been put in place.

Sacred Heart University in Fairfield has moved the majority of its classes online this week. Two dorms remain under quarantine, and the University will enforce a curfew.

Fairfield University has also issued a curfew, and all non-academic activities will be virtual.

Yale University has placed three residential colleges under quarantine.
