Connecticut Attorney General William Tong says even though his staff is now telecommuting, his office is still responding to public complaints.
Tong says the attorney general’s office in Hartford is no longer open to the public, but the public can still contact his staff by phone or email.
“Because the work of the state doesn’t stop. And to the extent that we are needed in the emergency response system, but also emergency court appearances that cannot be moved, or cannot be changed that have to happen. Then we have to attend to those, and we will.”
Tong says his office is receiving complaints around the clock about price gouging. He says he is committed to aggressively go after businesses and individuals who use the COVID-19 outbreak to take advantage of Connecticut residents.
