Conn. minimum wage goes up on January 1st

The minimum wage goes up in Connecticut on January 1st.  The increase is from $8.25 an hour to $8.70 an hour. Governor Dannel Malloy and the Democratic leaders of the state General Assembly celebrated the increase at a news conference in Hartford on Monday.
