The 2012 U.S. Senate race in Connecticut was one of the most expensive senate campaigns in the country that year. Sacred Heart University political science professor Gary Rose has written a new book about the race called “No Holds Barred.” The book begins with U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman making a historic announcement that he would not seek another term, opening up the senate seat in Connecticut. The exceptionally hard-fought senatorial campaign was eventually won by the Democrat, Chris Murphy, who defeated Linda McMahon. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Sacred Heart University.
