Refeathering the Empty Nest: Life After the Children Leave

Some 25 million American parents are classified as "empty nesters".  They're free from the daily obligations of raising children after those children have left home for the next stage in their lives.

Wendy Aronsson is a psychotherapist from Greenwich and author of Refeathering the Nest:Life after the Children leave. She says you can not only survive this change but you can thrive, as well.

She also likes to avoid the term "empty nest". Fairfield County Public Radio Host Bill Buchner asked her why...

Bill began his radio journey on Long Island, followed by stops in Schenectady, Bridgeport, Boston and New York City. He’s glad to be back on the air in Fairfield County, where he has lived with his wife and two sons for more than 20 years.
