Stamford Symphony finds Power in Simplicity

On their concerts for April 5th and 6th

, The Stamford Symphony Orchestra presents three pieces that get their powerful impact from their simplicity: Kodaly's Dances from Galanta, Dvorak's Violin Concerto, and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5.  Kate Remington talked with music director, Eckart Preu about how he found the surprising similarities in these pieces.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she was WSHU's Music Director from 2002 to 2023..
