Conrad Farrell is just home from Iraq. A 26-year-old graduate of Williams College, he had surprised his family when he joined the Marines. Now he's surprised at how impossible life seems back home.

Conrad is the protagonist of Roxana Robinson's newest novel Sparta. WSHU's Mark Herz spoke to her about it.

Mark is a former All Things Considered host and former senior editor with WSHU.
