Suffolk County District Attorney Tim Sini announces the indictment Thursday at a press conference.

Eighteen people were indicted for their roles in a large cocaine and heroin ring on Long Island. Suffolk County investigators consider four of them to be major drug traffickers.

Police seized three-and-a-half kilograms of drugs, seven illegal guns and $83,000 in cash from several Suffolk County locations after a six-month investigation.

County District Attorney Tim Sini says the network of traffickers and dealers operated a “one-stop shop” for crack cocaine, powder cocaine and heroin.

“This is the first time that the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office has charged four major drug traffickers within the same organization when all four of those operators were located within the county.”

Sini says the investigation into the drug ring’s suppliers is underway, and more people could be charged. Some of the defendants could face 25-years-to-life in prison.
