On Sunday, February 1, hundreds of brave participants will kick off the month by running and jumping into Long Island Sound at Stamford’s Cove Island Park for the third annual SoundWaters Super Splash. Check-in begins at 10 a.m. at East Beach, with the Splash taking place at 11 a.m. sharp. Whether you take the plunge or cheer from shore, enjoy hot cocoa, donuts and lively post-splash camaraderie on the beach.

The Super Splash raises awareness about climate-driven changes in Long Island Sound and supports SoundWaters’ hands-on climate science education programs for local students. Individuals can register at SoundWaters.org/SuperSplash; registration is $30 for adults and $20 for youth 18 and under, with a chance to win public sail tickets for those who sign up before January 15.
