NFSAW KITTEN SHOWER
In preparation for kitten season, New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare invites the public to its third annual Kitten Shower Fundraiser from noon to 3 p.m. on March 30 in the Community Room at the Senior Center, 33 Route 37 in New Fairfield.
Besides the felines at the Kitten Shower, there will be a bake sale, raffle baskets and more fun for all ages. Attendees are asked to bring a shower gift of needed items, such as KMR kitten food, toys, gift cards, cash, or baby blankets. NFSAW, a non-profit organization, has sheltered and found loving homes for thousands of cats and dogs since its founding in 1977, and also offers a pet assistance program and does trap, neuter and return work for feral cats. Last year NFSAW cared for 190 kittens and is expecting more than 200 this year.
