Musical Journeys: Ukraine, Crimea - works by Bortkiewicz, Ptushkin and Sibelius
Dubbed “The Rock Star Pianist” by Operawire, Alexander Chaplinskiy was born in Saint-Petersburg. He has lived in USA since 2017. Having appeared at the Montauk Library in the Spring as accompanist for vocalist Cristina Fontanelli he returns to the library on Sunday October 20 at 3:00 pm to present a concert of works by contemporary classical composers Bortkiewicz, Ptushkin and Sibelius. Since 2022, he has been featured as a special guest artist at a number of charitable events in support of Ukrainian national sovereignty.
