Greenwich Choral Society presents Centennial Voices: A Historical Exhibition and Reception
The Greenwich Choral Society is celebrating its Centennial Season with a variety of concerts and special programs and events that highlight its rich musical legacy and the performances that make it such a jewel in the cultural life of our community.
The celebration begins with a special exhibition, Centennial Voices, Sunday, September 14th from 1:00 to 4:00, curated in cooperation with the Greenwich Arts Center, of the concerts performed and of the musical luminaries the Greenwich Choral Society has featured in the past ten decades. The Exhibition will continue in the Greenwich Arts Center through October 19th.
The interactive audio/visual exhibition will feature the Choral Society’s music from the various decades, and displays of the composers, conductors, singers and musicians who have been a part of the Choral Society’s stellar history. Visitors can hear the history and sample performances of the Choral Society’s concerts and soloists with smartphones and headphones. A limited supply of headphones will be available on-site.
The reception and the exhibition are open to the public and are free of charge.
