On Monday, September 8, 2025 Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County (HFFC) with host Dr. Steven Novella, a leading American skeptic, who will return to speak about “When Skeptics Disagree: God, GMOs and Gender.”

Steven Novella, M.D., is a scientist, author, editor, host and producer. At Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Novella is an academic clinical neurologist. He is the president and co-founder of the New England Skeptical Society and the host and producer of the popular weekly science podcast, The Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe. Novella is also a fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry (CSI) and the founder, editor and regular contributor of the website Science-Based Medicine. His wide-ranging interests include general science, scientific skepticism, the philosophy of science, critical thinking, and the intersection of science with the media and society.

This meeting is free and open to all.  Join us at the Wilton (Connecticut) Quaker Meetinghouse for the presentation and come to the social gathering beforehand.  Gourmet pizza and refreshments will be served from 6:30-7:00 PM. The presentation will start at 7:00. We will also be recording and broadcasting this meeting virtually via Zoom for anyone who is unable to join us in person.
