Dan Colley & Company Lost Lear

Dan Colley & Company Lost Lear

Described as “Remarkable…Ingenious” and given five stars by The Telegraph, Irish director and film-maker, Dan Colley presents Lost Lear, a darkly comic remix of King Lear told through the eyes of Joy, a woman who believes she’s still rehearsing the play.

Using puppetry, projection, and live video effects, Lost Lear immerses audiences in Joy’s fractured world, where past and present, fiction and reality overlap and distort. When her estranged son arrives, cast as Cordelia, he must find his voice within the limited role he’s given. This inventive performance explores memory, identity, and the fragile possibility of communication across the divides between us.
