"Creating a Girltopia!": Empowering Young Women

"Creating a Girltopia!": Empowering Young Women

"Creating a Girltopia" is an empowering event designed to help young women become confident, ambitious leaders. We'll connect them with valuable community resources and openly discuss the issues that often hinder their success—financially, mentally, physically, and socially. Together, we'll brainstorm solutions and highlight powerful community resources available to young women in New London County.

Join us for a panel discussion of community professionals: Miria Morgan with Chelsea Groton Bank; Jennifer Miller, poet and author; Dr. Glenny Valoy, Assistant Professor, Borough of Manhattan Community College; and Jenna Bivona, Head of Youth Services, Waterford Public Library.

Recommended for ages 12 and up with registration suggested. Light refreshments will be served. Join us!

This event is presented and hosted by Girl Scout Troop #63433 including Rue Miller, Katy Partridge, Anastasia Carter, and Keith Carter with guidance from Scout Leader Rosanna Parks.
