Christ Episcopal Church Hosts “Beyond the Red Doors” Free Community Celebration and Cookout

Christ Episcopal Church invites everyone to gather for Beyond the Red Doors: Community Celebration and Cookout on Saturday, September 13, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on the Guilford Green. This free event welcomes neighbors, friends, and visitors to come together in celebration and support of the Guilford community.

Guests can enjoy fun activities in the church's backyard, including a bouncy house and face-painting for kids, live music, free hamburgers and hot dogs, and a history display in the parish hall. Additionally, there will be organ music in the church during the two-hour event, and all are welcome to drop in for a time of quiet reflection in the sanctuary.

“This event is about opening our doors—and our hearts—to our community,” said Reverend Michael Sweeney. “As our church celebrates our 281st year in Guilford, we wanted to share our gratitude with the community. We hope everyone will join us for a joyful day of food, music, and fellowship. ”

While admission is free, attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Guilford Food Bank to help support neighbors in need.
