Author Catherine Newman will be appearing in conversation with fellow author Christine Kandic Torres on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Fairfield Public Library. Catherine wrote 2024's best-selling novel Sandwich, about a family's yearly vacation to Cape Cod and the changes wrought by being part of the "sandwich" generation. Her follow-up book, Wreck (to be released on Oct. 28) catches up with the protagonist Rocky and her family at their home in Western Massachusetts, where daughter is home from college and Rocky's widowed father has moved in.
The author talk will begin with a reception at 6:00pm (light refreshments) followed by the conversation and book signing. Copies of Wreck will be for sale from Black Rock Books. Please register.
