Auditions for 'The Face On The Barroom Floor'

The Clan na Gael Players of Fairfield is holding auditions for their Fall production, "The Face on the Barroom Floor." Auditions will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 27 and 28, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Gaelic American Club, 74 Beach Road in Fairfield.

Inspired by a poem by H. Antoine D'Arcy, The Face On The Barroom Floor is a comedic melodrama that follows the story of Madelaine Mockingbird, a chambermaid turned singer, and her true love, Jack "Toulouse" Goodhart, a painter turned tramp. The plot revolves around insidious villains trying to separate them from their fortune and love, featuring comedic elements and classic vaudeville routines. Roles are available for eight women and six men of various ages. Actors will perform cold readings from the script.

Performances are one weekend only, Thursday through Sunday, November 20-23, 2025 at the Gaelic American Club. Come play with us!
