Composer and musician Emahoy Tsegué-Mariam Guèbrou.

As a child in Ethiopia, Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou and her family were forced into a prison camp. As a young adult, she became a nun at a monastery. And amidst it all, she was also a classically-trained musician, writing her Ethiopian jazz piano piece Mother’s Love.

We’re thrilled to introduce Emily Boyer as WSHU's morning classical host.
