Classical Music Highlight: Schubert's Creative Recycling

Even though the terrible play Rosamunde, Princess of Cypress for which Schubert wrote the incidental music, closed after just a few performances, he was able to get more mileage out of the melodies by using them in new pieces, as we'll hear this morning in his "Rosamunde" String Quartet.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
