Courtesy of River Oaks Chamber Orchestra

Violinist and conductor Andrés Cárdenes will lead the Stamford Symphony in concerts Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11 in a dual role: as the soloist in Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and conductor for Mendelssohn's youthful Sinfonia No. 8 and Visions and Miracles by Christopher Theofanides.

Kate Remington talks with Andrés about the challenges of simultaneously playing and conducting, and his vision for the orchestra.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
