In 1963 the Newsday Marching Band Festival began with a one-day performance featuring 13 bands. Bands were presented from across Nassau and Suffolk. Each night's performance promises to thrill, entertain, and delight families and friends.
For 2025 we continue the tradition, now spanning three nights with 35 marching bands from across Long Island. Each night will feature almost 3 hours packed with music, marching and excitement! The Newsday Marching Band Festival acts as a fundraiser for each participating school band, returning 50% of ticket revenue back to each participating band program.
